The .NET backend carrying order, seller and catalogue processes of a multi-seller marketplace.

01 · Problem

When many sellers, products and orders meet on one platform, services must stay fast and consistent while business rules keep changing.

02 · Approach

Split business-critical flows along clear ownership boundaries, tune data access on SQL Server based on measurement, and move read-heavy load to Redis and Elasticsearch and heavy work to asynchronous consumers over RabbitMQ.

03 · Technical challenges

  • Keeping performance-sensitive endpoints predictable at peak times
  • An incremental move from a monolith towards services
  • Tracing production issues back to their root cause
